Men do not by themselves know what it is to create life. This is a part of the knowledge, wonder and wisdom of women. No woman in her heart of hearts is equipped to condone the violence and death that seems to be so prevalent in many men's lives. The age of aggression and violence is coming to an end and the sooner the better.
We might ask ourselves candidly where violence comes from, at what point do we give up diplomacy and settle for aggression? The only possible explanation is that we do not know ourselves well enough to cope with the surroundings confronting us in any given moment in time and we react instinctually. We allow ourselves to be overtaken by fears, real or imagined, and start to operate in a survival mode in which we disregard the sanctity of life.
It is curious that one of the greatest honors awarded to those who work hardest for peace in the world, the Nobel Prize, is almost entirely funded from the manufacture of explosives and weapon related materials. Alfred Nobel, who bequeathed his fortune towards the Nobel prizes, patented his idea of adding silica to nitroglycerin so that it would be more stable for blasting and construction projects. Inevitably, "dynamite" was converted towards military use, and the rest is history.
Nevertheless, every year, the Nobel foundation gives a prize for someone who has striven to bring peace into the world. In 2002, the Nobel committee awarded their prize for peace to Jimmy Carter, the ex-president of the United States. In this article, we look at the Design of Jimmy Carter to glean insights into what really moves him as a man in tune with the age.
Jimmy Carter
Jimmy Carter was born in Plains, Georgia on August 18, 1927. He was born into the incarnation that we call transference or contagion. For anyone born with this incarnation comes a tendency to be looking around in their life for things that benefit humanity at large. There is a strong pull to want to make a commitment in life through aligning oneself and others in schemes, projects and ideas that appeal to one personally. Often someone who is born with this incarnation is amazed that everyone around them does not jump onto the bandwagon and join them in their endeavors. Sometimes their considerations for what it is that they conceive is worth doing may be somewhat unrealistic. Nevertheless, this does not need to dampen their personal enthusiasm nor their tendency to want to reach into the lives of other people to bring benefit to them.
In looking at Jimmy Carter's design chart, one sees that he has a single definition connecting between the root Center at the bottom of the chart and the Emotional Center on the right side of the chart. One of the misconceptions in studying design chart is that the more centers that are colored in, the more intelligent or capable in a conscious way that person is going to be. This is not necessarily the case. When many centers are colored in on a design chart, it simply means that the person with that design chart has very particular and specific ways of interacting in the world.
Defined and undefined centers
Any center that is undefined, and therefore colored in white, has the potential to experience the energies relating to the center in a multiplicity of different ways, and thereby through these different ways, grow in wisdom. Our undefined centers are constantly reflecting the world back to itself with a potentially enhanced wisdom. If for any reason, we take on a particular and consistent _expression in an undefined center, we lose any potential for a growth in our wisdom relating to that center. Any center that is defined, and therefore colored in with a color, is limited to a consistent _expression of the energies relating to the center solely through the particular nature of the channel(s) or gates that are activated in that center. Any growth in wisdom in a defined center happens only through personal observation and conscious application.
With two Centers defined and seven centers undefined, Jimmy Carter has the potential of being very open and flexible in his dealings in life. It also gives him the potential to become enormously wise through his reflection into other people's lives. In some instances, perhaps for the role of being the President of the United States, it might have been seen that Jimmy Carter was too flexible and understanding of other people's lives. But there is no question that in his time as president he brought some very interesting, different and wise insights into his leadership role.
Jimmy Carter's Projector definition
A defined root Center, as Jimmy Carter has the bottom of the chart, relates to our inner sense of whether we really feel like we belong here, on planet Earth, in this lifetime.
It relates to a handling of the pressures that life can render to us in order for us to make our way in the world. In its natural state, the root Center engages entirely through the qualities of stillness and joyfulness, or put another way, meditation and celebration. Our true nature in living a life is founded in these qualities of meditativeness and celebration. There are many in the world who understand this. Unfortunately, there more people in the world who do not. If one does not proceed through life rooted in the qualities of meditativeness and celebration, one is constantly assailed by stress. Most health practitioners when questioned concerning foundational causes of illness will say that stress is the chief culprit.
Jimmy Carter will have found out early on in life that he can handle stressful situations, but will have the best successes in his own life when he can operate from a place of inner calm and joyousness. The particular channel that he has defined is the channel 39-55, called Emoting, which brings a tendency towards moodiness. Throughout his life, Jimmy Carter, and those around him, will have found that he goes through quite dramatic mood swings. He can, even during a short space of time, experience both the agony and the ecstasy of a single instance. What he will have found is that relating only to the agony or only to the ecstasy of a situation does not give him clarity to be able to act effectively in that instance. For any emotionally defined person, and particular for Jimmy Carter with this defined channel of moodiness, patience is the key. One must have the patience to ride out any emotional highs and lows.
As a definition “type,” we say that Jimmy Carter is an Emotional Projector, someone who is not an “energy” type, but more of a “guiding” type, who when recognized, can direct others in their life’s endeavors. Projectors have an undefined Sacral Center, and have no “motivated” connection to their Throat Center.
Jimmy Carter's three open Centers
At the top of the chart, Jimmy Carter's Crown Center is completely open. The third center down from the top of the chart, the throat Center, is also open. Half way down the chart is a small white triangle center, the heart Center, and it is also open. Open centers have no gates activated in them at all. These open centers have a special significance in that they do not necessarily engage in the energies relating to those centers as they would if they had some gates activated within them.
Open centers can give a perfect reflection of the nature of those centers back to other people having those centers defined in their designs. Conversely, open centers can become so totally embroiled, identifying with the energies that other people bring in defined centers to the point that they can become energetically that are overwhelmed.
An open Crown Center has the potential to reflect back to others a sense of their own great inspirational qualities, or, an open Crown Center can become totally identified with almost any inspiration coming its way.
An open Throat Center, our Center of manifestation, articulation and _expression, can practically be an open medium for whatever it is that other people want or need to hear. It would probably be true to say that anyone who listens to Jimmy Carter speak would hear whatever it is they wanted to hear. This is neither a good nor bad thing, it is all a matter of perspective. This perspective gives us each the opportunity to do what we deem to be rightful actions in accordance with our own personal sense of responsibility in regard to what we hear.
An open heart Center is not easily impressed nor is it particularly willful. Even in a situation requiring competitiveness, it would be tough for Jimmy Carter to rise to the occasion and try and prove himself better or greater than an opponent. He might even appear to be a pushover. For people with open heart centers, it is often very hard for them to place of value on things, and they will need to ask others if something has any worth.
Jimmy Carter’s four Undefined Centers
Jimmy Carter has an Undefined Ajna/Mental Awareness Center containing both of the “problem solving” Gates, the 4 (activated 4 times in his Design) and the 47 (activated by Mercury, the planet associated with communications and a healthy lifestyle.) He also has the logical mindset of the 17, in which he has the mental acuity of linking all sorts of differing points of view. For anyone seeking to bring common understanding into group situations, Jimmy Carter certainly has the mental “tools” to be able to manage this.
We must appreciate is that undefined Centers are reflecting back to others an energetic flavor of their defined Centers.....in another way of saying this, for Jimmy Carter’s undefined mind, he will realize that he is great at helping to solve problems mentally for other people, but not necessarily for himself.
Jimmy Carter’s undefined Self Center (the white diamond in the middle of the chart) gives him the appearance of being without consistent direction in life, even to the point of being really flexible in his sense of personal boundaries. He has a natural and very creative form of leadership that can guide those seeking guidance.
Jimmy Carter has an undefined Spleen Center, the Center that we often associate with survival fears. The Gates that he has activated in this Center can make him feel daunted sometimes or very wise at other times, at having to take responsibility, deal with constantly changing circumstance and to recognize himself to be the authority in his own life.
His Undefined Sacral Center, with a single Gate, the 5, the Gate of Waiting activated within it, can make him wish for more energy sometimes than he has. Projectors often feel like they never have enough energy to be able to accomplish all the things they consider possible. The wise projector will know that everything can be done so long as one waits for the right moment to accomplish it. No doubt Jimmy Carter has found within himself a great sense of recognizing the right timing for events of importance in the world, like peaceful resolutions to ridiculous and outdated feuds.
In conclusion
There is no question that Jimmy Carter has the Design of a man who can bring the art of bargaining and peacemaking to a fine art of statesmanship. He is a pure individual, implying that he will always feel best when allowed space to find his own way to solving problems for others and he will not necessarily be orthodox in his approach to finding those solutions.
The key for his success in this world for Jimmy Carter, ultimately as a Nobel Laureate for peace, is his great wisdom and trust that there is always a way to find common ground if he is patient, waits for others to recognize his great openness and ability to solve seemingly “impossible” situations, and follows his own, natural, feeling way to achieve those solutions.
